Hi, I'm Yara.

I'm an AI engineer (new chapter! p.2) who still thinks in Ruby, a speaker who asks slightly-too-big questions, and on weekends I squish air-dry clay and smudge oil pastels.

→ this notebook is where I think out loud: code, art, philosophy, and learning AI in public.

I sculpt with real clay too. this one's digital. poked 0 times so far

how I got here

Plot twist: I didn't start coding out of passion. It was practical. To connect with it, I had to make logic appealing to a dreamy mind: first through art, then philosophy, now AI.

The Art of Code: finding aesthetics in logic

What if writing code and creating art aren’t as different as we think? The blank canvas and the empty file, Bauhaus and negative space, and why empathy makes both a painting and an app delightful.

From Plato to Production

Are you building things, or are you thinking, and code is just the residue? Four philosophers, one Rails controller, an N+1 that was secretly wise, and a twist borrowed from Sophie’s World.
